Brass: Birmingham tells the story of entrepreneurs competing in the West Midlands during the English Industrial Revolution from 1770 to 1870. Throughout the game, you will expand your empire by designing canals and railways, building and developing various factories including cotton mills, coal mines, ironworks, manufacturing industries, furnaces, and breweries.
The game takes place over 2 Ages: the Canal Era (1770-1830) and the Railway Era (1830-1870). The winner is the player who has accumulated the most Victory Points (VP) at the end of the Railway Era. VP are awarded at the end of each Age for your Connection Tiles on the Board, for the Industry Tiles flipped, and sometimes during the game for the Merchant's beer bonus.
