In Kiwara, which means savanna in the Swahili language, you will find yourself in an African landscape surrounded by a group of determined animals that seek to claim a series of territories delimited by a rather branched river. Each animal has particular characteristics that you will need to wisely utilize at the time of their placement on the game grid to gain control of the various territories and claim the highest number of points possible by the end of the game.

The game mechanics are as simple as they are elegant. The savanna consists of a grid of squares within which you can place your animals (zebras, gazelles, crocodiles, lions, and elephants) using their peculiar placement abilities and their score at the end of the game. Each territory is composed of an odd number of squares, and the player who manages to control the majority also earns the points of all the animals, whether allies or not, present within it!

However, your opponent will do everything possible to throw a wrench in your plans, choosing from turn to turn on which row you must place your animal thanks to a totem that you will need to move around the game board. Only by cleverly utilizing and planning the various placement characteristics of your animals can you hope to fill the various territories quickly and efficiently!
