The hallmark of these constructs is the dimensional destabilization matrix: a phase modulator that allows them to blink in and out of reality. Originally conceived to enable the Wraiths to reach and repair solid machinery without removing its external components, it is equally valuable for dealing with intruders. A Canoptek Wraith can phase its claws and tendrils inside an opponent, causing them to resolidify quickly to sever arteries, nerves, and other vital conduits without leaving marks on the outside.
