Arkham
Noir is a solo card game inspired by the interconnected stories of H.P.
Lovecraft and other authors, reimagined in
noir style. Each case is independent from the others.
The
game consists of adding cards to open cases, creating an Investigative Line, in an attempt to solve them. The ultimate goal is to accumulate
five "puzzle" Clue cards in order to piece together the Complete Picture, before running out of time or sanity.
Each
shuffled deck is the start of a unique challenge, with difficulty levels adjustable to fit players of all levels. In "The Witch Cult Murders", Howard Lovecraft investigates events based on the stories
"The Witch House" (1933), "The Thing on the Doorstep" (1933), and "The Unnamable"
(1923).
