Buckle up! The Starfinder role-playing game will catapult you into the discovery of uncharted worlds in deep space, shedding light on the darkest mysteries of this strange universe, with the help of your interstellar crew.

Do you want to search for lost artifacts among the ruins of that ancient alien temple? Then make sure you have your augmented armor and your laser cannons ready. Equip your starship properly before facing fleets of undead empires sailing through space aboard ghastly starships.

Hurry up! Space settlements need to be defended from swarms of ravenous aliens. Perhaps you can hack into the network of a divine corporation and, while exploring new stars, you may uncover the secret history of the universe.
Who knows if you'll have the opportunity to name previously unexplored planets. Whether you decide to make first contact with new alien races on uncharted worlds or prefer to fight for survival in one of the alleys illuminated by flickering neon lights of the Absalom Station, you will still need all your wit, combat skills, and to rely on magic. But more than anything else, you will need your companions! Starfinder is a role-playing game: an interactive story in which one of the players, the Game Master, describes the scenes and presents the other players with challenges.
The latter attempt to overcome every adversity by playing the role of heroes in a science fiction world. Reacting to situations based on the personality and abilities of their characters, players help create the plot of the story as they move from one scene to another. The rolling of dice, along with predetermined statistics, adds an element of chance in determining whether the actions of the characters succeed or fail. Thanks to Drift engine technology, there is no limit to the planets you can visit. The most famous star system is that of the Pact Worlds, linked together by a series of mutual defense agreements.

But with an entire galaxy at your disposal, it will be hard to resist the temptation to explore the Great Beyond. Out there are warring star empires, artificial or sentient planetoids, and cosmic phenomena of incredible scale. You will encounter the strangest creatures and deal with organizations with the most disparate goals. In this infinite sea of possibilities, one thing remains constant: the ancient history has vanished, erased by a mysterious temporal cataclysm known as the Gap. Will you become archaeologists searching for the few remaining scraps of knowledge, or will you always look forward, like colonists and explorers aiming to shape the future? In Starfinder, not only is it possible to play the "classic" races of role-playing games like elves, dwarves, and halflings, but the possibilities are even broader. Androids, artificial beings with a soul, live alongside aliens from distant star systems, such as the four-armed Kasathas or the insectoid Shirrens. The choices certainly don’t stop there: each class offers you a wealth of options to further customize your adventurers.

You might be a drone-constructing mechanic or enhance your cognitive skills with an exocortex. If you choose to be a Solarian, you will have to decide which type of stellar energy to harmonize with. Alternatively, you could leverage the technomancer's ability to hack reality with a mix of technology and magic. The game also introduces a specific set of rules for managing starships. Each spacecraft has its own characteristics, and almost every part is incredibly customizable. Furthermore, as you will encounter other ships or entire fleets, and not all these encounters will end peacefully, an entire section of the rules is dedicated to managing ship-to-ship combat. Each character will have a role within the crew, such as captain, engineer, gunner, pilot, or science officer, and their actions will determine the outcome of the encounter!
