Introduced by the Moors, azulejos (originally white and blue ceramic tiles) were adopted by the Portuguese when their king Manuel I, visiting the Alhambra palace in southern Spain, was captivated by the stunning beauty of the Moorish decorative tiles.
The king, struck by the magnificence of the Alhambra's interior decorations, immediately ordered his palace in Portugal to be adorned with similar tiles.

In this abstract tile-placement game, you will be ceramic artists tasked with decorating the walls of the Royal Palace of Evora.
During the game, you will need to strategically select various tiles to create a beautiful mosaic on your personal board. You will earn points based on the placement of the tiles, also in relation to any specific patterns, and you will be penalized for any leftover tiles.

The aim of the game is to be the player with the most points at the end of the game. The game ends after the round in which at least one player has completed a horizontal line of 5 consecutive tiles on their wall.
