This game is based on the gameplay system of 7 Wonders Duel.

Will you play as the Fellowship of the Ring to defend the free races and destroy the One Ring? Or will you take on the role of Sauron and chase Frodo and Sam, bringing your hordes to the gates of enemy cities? The fate of Middle-earth is in your hands!

The game is played over 3 successive chapters that proceed in a similar manner. On their turn, players strengthen their Abilities, accumulate treasures, extend their presence in Middle-earth, gather the support of the Races, or advance in the Quest of the Ring.

The player who meets one of the 3 victory conditions immediately wins the game:

• Complete the Quest of the Ring.
• Gather the support of 6 different Races.
• Conquer Middle-earth.
